Kevin Pietersen tells ECB he will not promote gambling site while on England duty
Kevin Pietersen has informed the England and Wales Cricket Board that he will refrain from endorsing gambling activities during his tenure as a specialist mentor for the national side. The former batsman recently entered into a high-value agreement as a brand representative for an online betting platform.
The ex-England cricketer is committed to collaborating with Brendon McCullum's white-ball squad for roughly 150 days across the next 13 months, up to the end of the 50-over World Cup jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Pietersen's involvement with betting presents a potential conflict for his employers.
